CARLOS RUIZ
Missionary
Carlos is married and has two daughters. He was born in Quito and since 2004 he has served as a missionary with SIM. His training is in areas such as: electronics and radio production, biblical and theological studies focused on cross-cultural missions and youth leadership. From 2017 to the present, he serves as a Pastoral care in the city of Loja. Some of his favorite hobbies are gardening, cooking, and having a good cappuccino with friends.

MARK & HELEN AZZOPARDI
Missionaries
Mark and Helen Azzopardi have been missionaries with SIM Ecuador since 2020. Mark was born in Northern Ireland and Helen in England. Helen grew up in a Christian family and has been a Christian since she was 7 years old. Mark met the Lord at age 16 in a youth ministry.
They studied in Scotland and met there. Mark studied electrical engineering and Helen languages and then education. They got married in July 2016 and for many years their ministry has been with youth and university students. They like to cook, travel, hike and spend time with friends.

ISRAEL RODRIGUEZ
Missionary
Israel has been a missionary with SIM Ecuador since 2013. He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. At the age of 18, he gave his life to Jesus. He has a degree in Education Sciences with a mention in English teaching from the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja. Since his ministerial beginnings he has served in the youth ministry of El Sendero. He loves soccer, coffee, and eat a good “Encebollado”.
